Description
R.E.M performed a gig at The Borderline in 1991. As it was a small venue, this was a unique occasion and they were booked under the pseudonym ‘Bingo Hand Job’. It was March 14th and 15th 1991 and tickets were exchanging hands for £200. Largely to promote the album ‘Out Of Time’, this was extraordinary as The Borderline was such a small venue. Small but famous and many people had played there. This event was later released as a recording for Record Store Day in 2019 entitled ‘Live At The Borderline’. The owner of this piece of memorabilia was introduced to Peter Buck and they asked him to sign the book of matches. A great piece of memorabilia from a special event.
